1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you may and may not do when using the ServerExperte website, client portal and any services we provide. It applies to all users, including clients, visitors and our own personnel. It forms part of your agreement with us and is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

2. Use of our portal and website

  • You may use the portal and website for legitimate purposes related to evaluating, purchasing and managing our services.
  • You must not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, or register accounts using false identities.
  • You must not attempt to bypass authentication, access control or any security measure on our systems.
  • You must not scrape, mine or systematically harvest content from our website or portal.

3. Prohibited activities

You must not use our portal, website or services to engage in, facilitate or encourage any of the following:

  • Any unlawful activity, or activity that breaches the rights of third parties.
  • Distributing malware, ransomware, viruses, worms, trojans or other malicious code.
  • Unauthorised access to computer systems, networks or data (including hacking, credential theft and social engineering attacks on others).
  • Denial-of-service attacks, port scanning or other network interference directed at systems you do not own or are not authorised to test.
  • Fraud, phishing, identity theft or the impersonation of other people or organisations.
  • Harassment, threats, hate speech, or the publication of others' private information without consent.
  • Storing, sending or transmitting content that is illegal, defamatory or infringes intellectual property rights.
  • Using our services to probe or attack systems unless you have a written engagement authorising such testing (see section 4).

4. Use of managed services

Some of our services, such as penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, legitimately involve security testing techniques. Those activities are only permitted against systems you own or are authorised to test, and strictly in accordance with the scope defined in your written engagement with us. You must never use our services to test systems belonging to third parties without their explicit written permission.

5. Security responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your own account credentials secure and for promptly reporting suspected breaches. You must notify us immediately of any security incident affecting systems we manage on your behalf, so that our response team can act quickly.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate any suspected violation of this AUP and take action we consider appropriate, including warning the account holder, suspending or terminating access to the portal or services, and reporting unlawful activity to the relevant authorities. We may disclose information to law enforcement where we are required or permitted to do so by law.

7. Reporting abuse

If you believe that content on our website or portal violates this AUP, or that our services are being misused, please report it to us at abuse@serverexperte.net or through our support portal. We review all reports promptly.
